I cannot confirm this bug with the 195.36 nvidia driver. Neither can I. For me it occured only when I upgraded to the recent 256.x drivers. I tested with kuickshow 0.9.2 ubuntu ppa-svn1110999-package, Kanotix Hellfire (Debian Squeeze), imlib11 from Debian Lenny (last Debian with imlib11!) and Nvidia driver 260: no problems, kuickshow works as it should. I think the original Imlib sources do not work anymore on current systems. I tried it myself and got similar errors. The distribution's Imlib packages are all patches meanwhile. E.g. I don't have any problems with Debian's Imlib package. Maybe you can try the one from http://packages.debian.org/lenny/imlib11 or at least apply the patches that Debian provides. For my Radeon HD 3000, the problem also occurs with the Radeon driver (xorg-x11-driver-video-radeonhd) but not with the fglrx driver. I tried applying the Debian patches to imlib but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I just found a different patch at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=448360 -- applying this one solved the problem. I'm changing the bug summary as I've established it's not hardware-specific. I'd like to mark this as resolved but am not sure what resolution status is appropriate—should it be INVALID because it's definitely an imlib bug? Thanks for your bug report or feature request. The Kuickshow application is no longer maintained, and all open tickets are now closed. See also http://websvn.kde.org/?view=revision&revision=1383834 |
