Description Björn Ruberg 2010-09-21 14:09:35 UTC
Version: 4.5 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I just compiled the KDE 4.5 branch (which will become KDE 4.5.2) with kdesvn-build for a completly new user. The install inside of the new user is completly fresh, there were no old config files.

When I use systemsettings nearly every click on "Apply" causes the desktop to freeze completly. All I can do is hitting Strg+Alt+Backspace. When restarting the desktop, the change I made in systemsettings has taken place.

It makes no difference in which kcm module I make the change. I had the freeze after altering desktop effects, after altering some kwin settings and after changing the widget style.

Can someone reproduce this? I run this on a Fedora 13 on an intel laptop with i965 graphic chipset.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Change config in systemsettings and click on "Apply"

You can hit Alt+Shift+F12 twice instead of killing X.
