Bug 251607

Description Luke-Jr 2010-09-17 20:51:21 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

My desktop monitor just died, and I'm trying to use my computer via VNC. However, as soon as I unplug the broken monitor, KDE tries to resize (almost) everything to some minimum (0x0?) size, and Plasma hides all the panels. This makes KDE unusable until I plug a monitor in. Finally, even when I did plug my monitor back in and KDE detected it, none of the problems were solved automatically. Even if I kill and restart plasma-desktop, it will show my panels for only a split second before re-hiding them (even with the monitor plugged in again). I cannot find a solution. :(

Reproducible: Always

No response; assuming it was fixed since then.
