There was a bug in the battery monitor which caused the battery status of devices not to be shown when they were connected after the startup of plasma-desktop. This was addressed in bug#324847 In case this doesn't fix your issue, it is more likely to be a upower or Kernel issue, e.g.: - too old upower version, which doesn't support Logitech HIDs yet.
