isn't there a shadow effect that can be activated? Created attachment 51714 [details]
Desktop with icons with background color at text and kde3 settings dialog
There is the possibility to add a shadow to the text. But that is not what I want. I want to specify a background for the text. The example picture below. i see. this is not a bug, but a wishlist item. thank you Theoreticlly its a wish but I guess a bug because the text can become unreadable and the user chant change it. That was the reason why I classify as bug. Beat has classified it correctly. Excuse me, where can I de/activate the shadow around the text of the desktop elements? I have searched in the desktop settings in the desktop contextmenu and in systemsettings in the Look & Feel sections but cannot find it. I only can find it for the folderview (and even there it is not possible to set the color for the shadow). Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding! Nate Graham This is still valid with plasmashell. I'm afraid this is by design. We use a shadow to ensure text contrast rather than a contrasting colored background. If you believe this is sub-par, I would encourage you to get involved with the design team: https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/design. |
