Description vadim.thesis 2010-09-07 11:55:11 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

Whe you entered directory ehich contains many subdirs (about 300 in my case) and trying to scroll it down, first pass is laggy and you can see agressive HDD activity during it. After you scrolled whole list down, scrolling becomes smooth and no HDD activity is produced. This issue is specific to "details view" mode only.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set view mode to "Details view mode"
2. Enter directory which contains big number fo subdirs
3. Try to scroll it down fast.

Actual Results:
HDD activity during first pass, scrolling lags

Expected Results:
Smooth scrolling

File indexing is disabled, previews are disabled. Issue seems to be dolphin-specific.

I think Dolphin 2.0 solves such issues :)
