It would be nice if kmail could be autoconfigured the same way as thunderbird 3.1 see : https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration#Configuration_server_at_ISP for more details

Fixed in 4.6
We can look at this database to configure account now
