So you want to add another entry (beside the "Move Here", "Copy Here", "Link Here" and "Cancel") to the context-menu that appears after dragging an item? Personally I doubt that there is a usecase that is used often enough by the majority of target users to justify such an entry. So currently I'm reluctant to add such an entry (it just requires a second drag to achieve the same) - but probably I misunderstood your request? You understood correctly. Maybe pressing a modifier key while dragging, or dragging with right-click could make a more advanced pop up menu appear which could also contain "Move and keep symlink" (or so) and that "Copy source" to resolve a symlink. See Bug 124898 Showing an advanced menu with a modifier key and/or right-click would be OK from my point of view. In Windows mostly Shift provides an advanced menu (e.g. for the right click menu of files and so on) but this is (un)fortunately already taken bei "move", so right-click dragging would be really nice. Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. *** Bug 504438 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
