I often have dolphin set to sort files by date, so the newest pictures are the last ones. If I open them in Gwenview and want to cycle through, they are ordered completely different. There is the option “Sort by date”, though this is using some kind of other date (Picture taken?) so the files are sorted completely differently.
Either respect dolphin‘s sort settings or add a “Sort by file modify date“ option

I would say combining gwenview‘s and dolphinpart‘s code bases would fix that since gwenview is also using a totally different routine for displaying pictures. (which allows rotating pictures directly but this certainly can be added to dolphinpart)
