Sentry Crash Report:

Description Leszek Lesner 2010-08-29 17:58:28 UTC
Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

Konqueror 4.4.5 with kpart-webkit crashes on many sites without giving any traceback, if plugins are globally activated.
If set to load dynamically it crashes on sites using plugins like a video on youtube for example. (Using Adobe Flash Player 10.1)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Konqueror. Set it to load websites with webkit. And surf to youtube.com.

Actual Results:
Konqueror crashes and dr.konqi appears but does not find any debug info to send.

Expected Results:
Websites should work, plugins should work, Konqueror shouldn't crash

Websites should work no matter if khtml or kwebkitpart.

(Btw. khtml sucks really really badly)

That is a known problem with Adobe's flash player 10.1 release and something that has already been worked around upstream in QtWebKit for the upcoming Qt 4.7 release. See

https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40567.

It also seems to have been backported into Qt 4.6.x branch and should be available in the next bug fix update. See commit "be1a105" here:
