If I open any application from the kickoff menu say:

Applications > Multimedia > VLC media player,

the next time I access the Applications menu, the Multimedia "Category" automatically drags.

this happens for all categories not only the "Multimedia" 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Click the Kickoff Applications menu, under the "Applications" go to any category (prefer: Applications > Multimedia or Applications > Office) and open an application. 

Close the running application and again go to "Applications". Now the category last used should automatically drag.  

Actual Results:  
The category drags as we are actually trying to "drag and drop". 

Expected Results:  
There should not be any drag problem, it should start normally.

when u say that the last-used category drags what do u mean?

do u have the same issue with kde-4.5.4?

It doesn't happen always, but still does sometimes on 4.6.3.
