- Unusual behavior I noticed:
When I clicked the show hidden icons, it opened and closed in a second, and created a weird empty, titleless and focused small window for that same amount of time. 
I kept clicking it, and once the window didn't automatically close, if I were to close it then it would crash plasma. The window is resizeable and has the common toolbars of a regular window but has no contents nor title.

- Custom settings of the application:
The system tray had under a dozen application icons, most of them hidden, some text overlap was observable, and I want to blame skype but haven't been able to reproduce it with skype alone. The applications that I can remember were kopete, tomboy, gnome's mail notification, keepassx, and all the default system tray icons that come with kde 4.5. Maybe the weather one too, unconfigured.

Again I haven't been able to reproduce, so it may be nothing to worry about.
