This is a completely useless report. Please specify what site you were looking at and the version of Qt and KDE installed on your system. Flash is supported and should work fine unless of course you disabled it in Konqueror's configuration dialog...

imdb.com, main page. Ot 4.7.0, KDE 4.5.0, flash plugin is enabled, youtube movies sort of work.

That site works fine here with my setup Qt 4.6.3 + QtWebKit 2.0 (the version included in Qt 4.7.0) and KDE 4.5.0. What distribution do you use ? And what version number does the "libkwebkit.so.X.X.X" library file show on your system ? It should be 0.9.6.

Kubuntu Lucid.

/usr/lib/libkwebkit.so.1.0.0

No idea why it does not work for you. It should work just fine. BTW, which flash player plugin are you using Adobe's, gnash or lightspark ? You can do "about:plugins" in Konqeror to see the filename of the flash player plugin you installed...

Though it still does not explain the reason why flash does not work for you, that version of kwebkit is quite old (I know the version number is higher).

Adobe's. I'll retest as soon as newer kpart is packaged.

I've noticed that on a very few sites Flash does indeed not work. But that's an upstream issue, probably caused by the non-final version of QtWebKit.
Try Arora -- it uses QtWebKit directly and not a KDE wrapper. If it doesn't work there, report it more detailed to bugs.webkit.org.

You're right, Arora doesn't work either.

Are you sure either one of you are not using AdBlock filters ? imdb.com definitely works fine for me.

Created attachment 50982 [details]
screenshot of imdb.com

here is the screenshot of that website. it looks exactly the same as it does in Firefox ; so I fail to understand why it would not render properly for you unless you have adblock filters enabled...

I've double checked and explicitly disabled AdBlock in Arora, it's not it.
