my kopete needs about 1 to 3 minutes to start. 

It already shows the contact window but then it gets frozen. 

I don’t really know why. 

Modules I use: 

* image preview
* highlight
* contact notes
* KopeteTex
* Bookmarks (links become bookmarks automatically)
* OTR
* Statistics
* Log

Reproducible: Always




OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-gentoo-r1
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc

The statistics plugin is known to slow down Kopete's startup and shutdown. We do not have a solution for that at the moment.

Ah, good to know. Thank you for your answer! 

I can confirm that it starts almost instantly after disabling statistics.

For me this bug would be solved by adding a note to the statistics plugin: “can slow down the startup”.
