Actually, the "messaging" field filling is not mandatory to activate "send email" option in kopete (step 5), but is strictly necessary perform an app restart (step 6).

In this case any email address is available, of course (see attachment).

Hi I don't use KDE anymore for a while, so I cannot reproduce, sorry.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
