Description Daniel 2010-08-13 05:11:07 UTC
Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

This may or may not be related to bug 231440, but since that report deals with JavaScript and does not mention cookies, I have opened a separate bug.

I cannot select the "remember me" checkbox on http://twitter.com/ . The widget exists, but clicking it does not change its state. Thus, I cannot use the login cookie. I could only speculate as to the cause of this problem, so I will leave it to the developers to make informed conjectures.

I have not known this problem to exist on other domains.

My settings are only to accept cookies from the originating domain and to automatically accept all session cookies. I also block 3rd party cookies in Firefox, but the Twitter login cookie works fine, so I believe it is on the originating domain.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open http://twitter.com/ , enter your login info, and try to click the "remember me" checkbox.

First this issue has nothing to do with login cookies. Rather it is a simple matter of not being able to check the "Remember me" check box when signing into twitter. Second it is a khtml only issue because checking that box works fine in konqueror + kwebkitpart.

Updated Summary and reassigned to khtml...
