Description Jose 2010-08-11 17:09:10 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

When I open a Java application like jdownloader or Vuze a tiny window is opened and shows in the taskbar. If I close the window, plasma crashes but does not present the dr. konqui dialog to report it and it does not restart. It also happens sometimes with certain media players like vlc or smplayer and sometimes the video is shown in this tiny window instead of being shown in the application window. Although the bug is not always reproducible with media players, it's reliable with Java applications.

Tried in a fresh install of KDE 4.5 on Kubuntu 10.04. I event tried to delete the .kde folder to ensure that default settings were applied.

See the screenshot attached.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in to KDE 4.5
2. Open JDownloader

Actual Results:
The JDownloader window is shown along with a tiny window with an X as icon.

Expected Results:
Only the jdownloader window is shown.

It didn't happen with KDE 4.4.X
