I logged into KDM, and it immediately went to a black screen with cursor, then I got a crash notification.  KRunner and KWin still worked, so I was able to start up plasma-desktop.

I have tested with a new user, and the crash does not occur for that user.  I don't know what part of my configuration is causing the problem, since plasma-netbook worked this morning, and I had deleted my ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-netbook* files, causing pristine default ones to be generated which would have matched the new user's.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
