Description Bertel King, Jr. 2010-08-03 17:17:08 UTC
Version: 4.4 pre (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

I recently tried to sync KJots across three computers using Dropbox. It worked, initially. However, since KJots only refreshes when the app is first opened (to my knowledge) if one computer saves while KJots is opened on a second computer, its changes are lost when the second computer saves. It would be nice if KJots auto-refreshed, allowing two users to share notes through Dropbox, SpiderOak, etc.

Reproducible: Didn't try

I had to google to find out what Dropbox is :)

You are correct that KJots 4.4 loads its data only on application start. It has been rewritten in 4.5 though and ported to Akonadi, so now the solution for this bug is to write a Dropbox Akonadi resource or proxy resource with support for notes. KJots will then use it automatically including auto-refresh.

Is not this bug fixed since KDE application 4.13?
