I checked it. For me, it only happens when Native Moving is enabled. There is a check-box in the Settings for that. Can you confirm this? I will take a look to fix that bug after I set up my trunk version again. Looks like a KWin bug then. Here, I can move it once, then it gets stuck. Confirmed. I did indeed have "Native Moving" checked. When the checkmark is removed I can move the ruler. This bug still exists for me in KDE 4.8, ubuntu packages The ruler won't move horizontally when either "native" moving or "normal" moving is specified and when the ruler is in a vertical position. When you click "Native Moving" the ruler won't move it all. Bit of an obvious bug and has been around for the last couple of point releases of KDE. Why are there two types of moving, it's a bit odd for the average user ? How do we get this looked at ? Kruler fails to move after rotating which I'd guess is standard for applications. It makes kruler unusable. You have to quit kruler, start it again, cross fingers and hope that it'll move. I have a dual monitor setup if that makes a difference and use the N and E keys to rotate the ruler. KDE 4.8, latest Kubuntu packages. Does this still happen ? I never had such a problem, also not now using KRuler 5.0 with KF5.21 Moving works fine, multiple times, both with "Native moving" enabled and disabled, both horizontally and vertically oriented. |
