One of the first things I do when I get a new KDE set up is go about changing settings to something that I can use,  This includes setting the simple win9x theme, turning off all animations, setting dolphin to list view, turning off the selection thing, making it so files require double click...

I know that my preferences are not likely to be switched to default behavior, ( I could go into a long list of why they should be, but that has been done and would serve nothing except to alienate myself)

This ability would help distributions set their environment the way they want it.

This ability would also let me set up my system defaults easier, as I should just have to add one file into /usr/share, and add one change to a global configuration file... (or perhaps just add my configuration file into one location)

The point of this is to make it automatic, something from system-settings that lets me export it.


This wizard would include a list of applications that could be included, and could be "drilled into" say if I wanted to keep default settings on some other things that I changed on my system..

This wizard would not be simply for kde-kiosk, although kde-kiosk could potentially use something like this.

I believe the format would be a diff to the defaults... maybe multiple diffs in folders in a zip file if that makes it easy.
