Version: 3.7
OS: Linux

This is usefull to be able to capture the pcm-output of a soundcard to a recording application.

For example capture a web-audio-stream with audacity.

Reproducible: Didn't try

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-12-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Missed this request but saw you put it up on my blog. This isn't hard (indeed I specifically filter them out!) but it's just a matter of usability. I guess listing all the monitors at the end after a separator in the menu would be acceptable.

whats up with this feature? :-)

Just not had time/motivation to play with it...... (as all monitor sources are totally ignored just now, it's actually a bit more work than it first appears).

pavucontrol record from monitor

I would also find this very useful. It would be nice to have a list of sources, including the monitor for the master recording device and for individual recording streams. The screenshot shows it in pavucontrol, and it would probably look almost identical in the Plasma volume widget and in the KCM. Thanks a lot!
