Description marcos 2010-07-25 03:48:49 UTC
Version: 4.4 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

I think that would be nice to add an option to Knotify/Notifications to log all messages (that are shown during the session) into a user's defined file.

A global option that just involves all apps/jobs messages would be much better than have to manually set up in each app for each action in the respective "configure notifications" to enable the "log to a file". The format of the log file could be the same of this "knotifyplugin", btw.

This helps to keep track messages that was shown when user is away and for scripts capture the messages much more easer too.

Similarity, the "play sound" action could also have the same "global enable" option. IMHO, in this case, it's may be useful for people with some type of deficiency i.e.

For all KDE team, my congratulations for the dedication and excellent work!
Best Regards.
Marcos.

Reproducible: Always

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
