Hi,

you can already get plasma notifications for those "OSD notifications".
Under "Settings" -> "Configure Notifications" you can select any notification and enable "Show a message in a popup".

The ones you are looking for are:
-Nick written
-New message
-Private message
-Nick joined channel and Nick left channel
