Still present in 4.4.95. Is there any way I could have submitted this bug with correct version info? No recent beta/rc versions showed up in the dropdown lists when I submitted it... I can confirm the exact problem here. Using the following setup: OpenSUSE 11.3 x86_64 nVidia 9300m using driver 256.35 KDE 4.4.95 (KDE 4.5 >=20100723) I was confused as to what was the culprit of this bug. Glad I found this bug report. Unfortunately, the problem doesn't seem dependent on the nVidia driver. I tried 4 different versions (195.36.15, 195.36.24, 195.36.31, and 235.35) and the problem was still present. I also see this bug with an Intel Atom netbook (a Dell Mini 10v). However, this doesn't occure if Direct Rendering is disabled. Can anybody confirm that this is specific to Direct Rendering? Bug is still present with direct rendering disabled on my end. Also experiencing this problem. Here's my system info: ** My System ** Motherboard: MSI K9N SLI Platinum (nForce 570 SLI chipset) CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 4000+ (2.6 GHz) RAM: 2GB DDR2 Video: Dell NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX w/ 256 MB RAM (PCI Express) OS: Kubuntu 10.04 i386 w/ KDE SC 4.5.0 from Kubuntu PPA Linux Kernel: 2.6.32-24-lowlatency NVIDIA driver: 256.44 (also tested with 195.36.15) Screen Resolution: 1280 x 960 X.org: 7.5 Qt: 4.7.0 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 243890 *** I have the same problem. How is this bug resolved? Not resolved in KDE 4.5.1 Still not fixed in KDE 4.6. Why? it's not just "fixable" but requires a complete and major redesign of the renderstack, what will happen with 4.7, please stop reporting to duplicates and use the linked one instead to avoid information fractioning, thanks. |
