Description Francesco Frassinelli 2010-07-13 13:01:48 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

As the summary says. when I start a video conference, it appears an empty window (here is called "Kopete <2>"). I suppose that I should see a video, but is not.

Kopete version is 1.0.80 (on KDE 4.5 RC2), Skype version is 2.1.0.81.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Start a video conversation.

Actual Results:
It appears an empty window.

Expected Results:
It should not appear, or it should show the video stream.

When I say "video conference" I mean an audio/video conversation between 2 people, with both webcam enabled.

Kopete show video stream widget in "empty" window olny, if you have configured english language in skype.

Have you configured english language in skype client config options?

No, it's Italiano (Italian).

skype protocol in kopete works correctly only if skype binary client is configured in english language (see configuration tab in kopete skype protocol properties)

it is normal, that skype protocol doesnt work, if you have configured other than english language.

kopete skype protocol browse for all registred X windows and try find skype webcam stream widget using regexp english window manager title. It is not possible to check for all transtations of wm title, so only english language is supported.
