Description Wolfgang Rohdewald 2010-07-11 08:34:29 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

after a full disk situation, I now have unread mails. The mail files are there with full content. But kmail only shows them in the mail list, the body (including subject) stays empy. Also, the mails keep their status "unread".

Rebuilding the mail folder index fixes the situation, kmail does not have to be restarted.

Maybe as a solution if a new mail cannot be added to the index because of disk full, it should not be placed in the cur folder but in the new folder? Or simpler always place it in the new order and only move it to cur if the index could be updated correctly?

I am using the kubuntu ppa kde 4.5 beta packages.

Reproducible: Didn't try

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-020634rc7-generic
Compiler: cc

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
