do you still reproduce ? If you can you attach the backtrace of the crash on this bugreport ? (In reply to comment #1) > do you still reproduce ? > > If you can you attach the backtrace of the crash on this bugreport ? Hi all, it doesn't appear to be a crash - it appears to be a non-desirable misbehaviour. I can reproduce it here too (Mandriva Cooker). I too have an IMAP account which I can no longer access and running kmail from the command-line starts the akonadi migration times and again and won't start kmail itself times and again. Here are the traces after running /usr/bin/kmail under gdb: {{{{{{{{{{{{ shlomif:~$ gdb --command=cmds.gdb /usr/bin/kmail GNU gdb (GDB) 7.1-1mdv2010.1 (Mandriva Linux release 2010.1) Copyright (C) 2010 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Type "show copying" and "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "i586-mandriva-linux-gnu". For bug reporting instructions, please see: <http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/bugs/>... Reading symbols from /usr/bin/kmail...(no debugging symbols found)...done. [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] kmail: Unknown option 'debug'. kmail: Use --help to get a list of available command line options. }}}}}}}}}}}} To reproduce: 1. Set up an IMAP account (say at gmail) with the old kmail. 2. Change the remote IMAP account's password. 3. Try to migrate to the new kmail. 4. See it fail. I was testing the migration on my system here a moment ago with my googlemail account (which was good because it has a lot less mail in it compared to my normal account). I cannot reproduce this with the kmail from KDE SC 4.8, can you? We're now at KDE-4.10 with a lot of changes. closing this report due to its age and no reply from reporter |
