I see no changes in 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 that could affect spell checking. Can you confirm that going back to 4.4.3 fixes the issue? Dear Christoph, thanks for your fast feedback. In the mean time I found, just typing "aspell" in the line above the field for the spell checkers (systemsettings) and than click "add", solved the problem. Just cannot understand why the field was empty which wasn't before. Also not clear why not auto-recognized (since I never typed that before). Prior manually typing the buttons for "add" (and others) where marked inactive, hence the idea wasn't obvious to simply type it in rather than add something from a selection (as for GUIs usual). Sorry cannot go back to 4.4.3 since already deleted from Gentoo repository. Since it works again, I mark it as closed with the hope that above 'questions' still go somewhere useful :-) |
