ChoqoK used to work correctly some days after updating. This bug appeared again in choqok-0.9.80+svn1160293-1.1 rpm. Before, there were some random crashes here and there but now it became unusable once again. I open the program and it crashes after trying to load timelines.

More info. Still no luck after various upgrades (including choqoK)
This bug is really anoying and I've noticed the program has random crashes and can be opened sometimes if you try to play with window focus (i.e. focusing another one and then coming to choqoK back again when the window is been draw for the first time)
This is the only one application/program having such a behavior in my KDE version.

crash in untiny plugin. I guess maybe a concurrency issue where the null pointer check isn't good enough? maybe some other smart pointer than QPointer should be used?

Additional QPointer check
Hello, gdb showed to me that the pointer is made null synchronously, so an additional QPointer check is needed. Please consider the proposed patch and add more checks as you see fit.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Choqok crashes very often (not always but very often) typically after waking up the computer from suspend, then Choqok has a big Twitter TL to download, which often results in a SEGFAULT
- Unusual behavior I noticed:

When it happens to me, the wireless network isn't connected and Choqok crashes. If I start it again when the network is up, it works perfectly. This bug is marked as fixed/resolved. It obviously isn't. Please reopen. You said that you are using Choqok 1.0! and this bug is fixed in Choqok 1.1, so upgrade it That's a pity: not yet released Ubuntu Natty (still beta) has 1.0 :-/ I'm using version 1.1 and I still get Choqok crashing on me sometimes, mainly when it can't connect to the Internet. *** Bug 270368 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270175 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270448 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270558 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270572 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270680 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 270926 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 271169 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 272014 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 272033 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 271691 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 271499 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 272305 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 272344 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 273142 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274315 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274338 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274736 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274801 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274798 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274796 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 60822 [details]

choqok (1.0) on KDE Platform 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6" using Qt 4.7.1
- What I was doing when the application crashed: Nothing special but it might be of interest to know that I had Firefox open with a Twitter account connected. I don't know if it troubles ChoqoK to see that one of the accounts is already online through another application.
