I set 

System Settings / Advanced / Removable Devices
v	Enable automatic mounting of removable media
v	Mount all removable media ar login
v	Automaticaly mount removable media when attached

When I plug a media, like a usb pen drive, "Notification and job" icon ask me what I want do instead of mounting automaticaly.
The only way to automount it is to select "Automount on attach" in System Settings / Advanced / Removable Device.

This is an issue because I wish new media to be automounted without user interaction and there's no way to do it.

Tested also on kubuntu 10.4 with kde 4.4.2.

I wanted to say that the version of kde on debian testing is 4.4.4 and not 4.4.3 but should not make any difference. Thank you.

I also vote for this. Same options don't work for me (kde 4.5, opensuse)

For 10 years I've been waiting for this functionality in KDE and linux (automount device when it is attached or inserted) and it is still not there. I just can't believe it. This is just ridiculous. How can talk about mass spreading of linux if there is no BASIC functionality by default which every new user expects to have.

you should submit patches to https://git.reviewboard.kde.org or at least a mailing list. Here they usually just get lost.
