I just checked this using KDE SC 4.8 RC1. After step 4, the side bar does not grow wide. The cause of the problem looks strikingly similar to Bug 259141. I can't reproduce this either (Gwenview 2.9.4). The Maker Note gets folded now. |
Created attachment 48271 [details] Image: young deer grazing Version: 2.3 (using KDE 4.3.5) OS: Linux The Information panel grows disproportionately wide when Gwenview tries to dislay a long property. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the image attached image P1170553.JPG. 2. Activate the information panel. 3. Press for more meta-information. 4. Select the property "Maker Note" in the EXIF section. Actual Results: 4. Since the Maker Note is very long, the information panel becomes very wide. The window adapts to the increased with and becomes much wider than the display. Expected Results: 4. The Maker Note should be trimmed, with a hyperlink to display it in an auxiliary text window.
