Description Stefan Majewsky 2010-06-21 11:39:40 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

I use KCharSelect when creating technical drawings, to obtain Greek letters and subscript/superscript characters like "τ₀". Switching between these two character sets is quite cumbersome; it involves interaction with two comboboxes. Some bookmark-like functionality would be nice, i.e. some navigation feature that allows me to switch between frequently used character sets rapidly.

Reproducible: Didn't try

I usualy use KCharSelect for inserting some special characters, like french quotes, into web pages. So I need only to bookmark selected characters...

What about adding star to character detail, like it is in Gmail or Firefox address bar and then add view (tab or group) with these bookmarked characters? (See Bug 242333)

If you need to bookmark entire sets, it should be easy to add option to "mark next X characters too".

What do you think?
