Sorry, send report to early. The request is to get a split screen mode for virtual desktops in multihead environments. So if you have two monitors configured as extended via xrandr ( xorg.conf with Virtual Resolution), you can configure one virtual screen to each monitor. So it looks like this: Screen0[Virtual Desktop 0] and Screen1[Virtual Desktop 1] This could be done in conjunction with extended mode. The problem with extended mode is: if you deactivate one screen all windows which are on it are "lost", you can't get them back to the other active screen. There is also a kwin feature to see all four screens, so it should be possible to implement this.
