I can confirm this. I'm also under Kubuntu, so the "confirmation value" is moderate, I guess :) However, you may be interested to hear that Xine UI plays the video correctly, so the problem is not in libxine. Also, when starting Kaffeine manually, I got the following error messages: QStringList Solid::Backends::KUPnP::KUPnPManager::findDeviceByDeviceInterface(Solid::DeviceInterface::Type) error: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" QStringList Solid::Backends::KUPnP::KUPnPManager::findDeviceByDeviceInterface(Solid::DeviceInterface::Type) error: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" QStringList Solid::Backends::KUPnP::KUPnPManager::findDeviceByDeviceInterface(Solid::DeviceInterface::Type) error: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" QMetaObject::invokeMethod: No such method KUniqueApplication::loadCommandLineOptionsForNewInstance() savior@Onosendai:~$ X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Major opcode: 12 (X_ConfigureWindow) Resource id: 0x0 X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Major opcode: 53 (X_CreatePixmap) Resource id: 0x0 X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Major opcode: 53 (X_CreatePixmap) Resource id: 0x0 X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9 Major opcode: 70 (X_PolyFillRectangle) Resource id: 0x620000f X Error: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) 4 Extension: 138 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 2 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x6200004 The same problem is in Fedora. A one time switch to fullscreen gets you the video as well. Could be related to Qt-4.7-beta. A downgrade to 4.6.3 seems to fix it. See downstreambug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=618738 This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open. |
