Adding support for multiple partitions to the freespacenotifier kded daemon is on my todo list, I hope to do it for 4.6. @Ivo: look at bug #81653 (In reply to comment #2) > @Ivo: look at bug #81653 Unfortunately even if I get this working for the root partition, it won't solve bug #81653, because KDE still won't handle getting disk full outside of KDE, and I kind of doubt you'll be able to get a lot done under KDE with a disk full, even if you can see the pop-up. I think that bug is very important, but should be solved by KDM or startkde. The idea of freespacenotifier is more for user-stuff ("your crap folder is fulL") than system stuff, although I hope to add support for root anyway. Just to add: I do belive freespacenotifier can be used to *prevent* the situation, but that older bug is about KDE not dealing with the situation *after* it has happened, and it can happen anyway with or without support for watching root. see also Bug 340582 - "Free Space Notifier" should also report full root *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 340582 *** |
