Description Fabian B. 2010-06-05 19:35:51 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

if you let dolphin play a preview of any audio (or video+audio) file. the volume is as loud as amarok/dragonplayer with 100% and there is no configuration for it.
Now we have to go to kmixer an set it down, and set it up again, if we play the file in an audio (/video) Player. dolphin igrnoe the KDE-Systemsound volume here. My mother is frightened every time she uses the preview ^^
or if this is a feature(...) there should be an configuration option

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Play an audio file in the preview of dolphin

Actual Results:
very loud preview

Expected Results:
dolphin should use the systemsound-volume
Comment 1 FiNeX 2010-08-01 17:04:10 UTC
Confirmed: dolphin doesn't use the PCM or amarok volume but the master volume.

Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
Comment 4 Arjun AK 2014-12-27 10:06:09 UTC
Can you still reproduce this? Dolphin's playback volume can now be controlled via kmix (if you have the 'Playback stream' checkbox enabled inside kmix's configuration window)

Dolphin does now use the system volume, so I'll close this report. If you still have issues, please reopen the bug.
