Messages are sent with additional tags. Example (i sent letter 'g'):

<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;"><span style=" font-size:8pt; color:#4d4d4d; background-color:#fffcf5;">g</span>

This is visible to recipient, i have checked jabber, facebook and gadugadu protocols.

I can confirm this on Fedora 12. Same version.

Seems to be a dup of #237023, which might be a dup auf #233330.

I have this with ICQ protocol, jabber works fine.
