Description Toralf Förster 2010-05-28 16:30:31 UTC
Version:           1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS:                Linux

If I use the prefered method (New -> Message -> Insert File) then the email is send out with a charset where all white spaces are converted into =20 regardless of the settings under "Options" -> "Set Encoding".

OTOH I cannot copy and paste a git patch from the console window b/c that would convert tabs into white spaces ....

FWIW my local Gentos system :
tfoerste@n22 ~ $ locale
LANG=
LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
KMail should be able to send out emails wthich the LKML accept to apply to the current git linux kernel tree

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34
Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc

I can do that, you just have to deactivate the linewrapping in the Options menu.
Comment 2 Toralf Förster 2013-02-03 20:54:34 UTC
I switched away from KMail - so I'll clsoe this bug
