Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS:                Linux

Recently, the digiKam developers have got a new library; libface for face detection. It would be lovely to improve upon this and get some face recognition in KDM, to allow us to be recognized by face instead of passwords!

Reproducible: Didn't try

maybe this could be part of the plasma kdm project

An example of such software is KeyLemon for Windows machines;

however, this has a dependency on bug #105631, so it's not fully supported.
if rohan wanted to upstream his code, i would consider it.

KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5.

SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
