after an "upgrade" that took place some time through the last 4 or 5 days dolphin started crashing with me on at least 3 diff distros (namely Kubuntu, OpenSUSE and Sabayon, which rules out a distro specific problem) not only when dragging folders but by simply selecting a group of files or by hovering the mouse cursor over the pannel. Its got very annoying because I make extensive use of the file manager. It would be fair commenting that I tried Konqueror and after some time (it seemed to take it longer to crash??) of use it crashed the same way I don't have debug libraries installed and the Bug report said that the info might be of no use but fwiw here it is anyways: Application: dolphin (1.4) KDE Platform Version: 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3) Qt Version: 4.6.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-default i686 -- Information about the crash: <In detail, tell us what you were doing when the application crashed.> The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal: Aborted [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0xb4e97700 (LWP 21313))] Thread 2 (Thread 0xb32b9b70 (LWP 21621)): #0 0xffffe430 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb549c899 in __lll_lock_wait () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #2 0xb5497ef1 in _L_lock_765 () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #3 0xb5497d09 in pthread_mutex_lock () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #4 0xb5ab9444 in pthread_mutex_lock () from /lib/libc.so.6 #5 0xb675151c in ?? This is most likely related to bug 203887 (or bug 200583). comment 1: Your crash is a different one: bug 235166. You can work around this issue by disabling Nepomuk in the System Settings. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 203887 *** |
