When using an encrypted home directory with encfs config is not saved. When stopping plasma via "kquitapp plasma-desktop" and restarting it with "plasma-desktop" I alwas get "couldn't lock local file". Same when starting konsole on another konsole and changing any configuration.

I tried to copy .kde/ outside of the encfs encrypted dir (e.g. /home/.kde) and add and symlink (ln -s /home/.kde /home/user/.kde) everything works fine.

not a plasma issue, sorry.

huh, no doubt an "upstream" issue, but only from plasma, not kde.
