Description Ignat Semenov 2010-05-22 18:35:11 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

kdebase is rev. 1129428

KDE shows a lot of error messages with the text "Cannot find mymetype application/octet-stream" and some more mime types. Dolphin always shows placeholder icons instead of using mimetype icons. These messages are shown on almost any application launch.

Seems related with missing/broken 'shared MIME database'.
Could you please check if the correspondent package in your distribution is installed/corrupted? Thanks.

Works fine in 4.7.2. Closing as fixed.
