Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) Compiler: kubuntu 10.04 OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages If I go to "system settings -> desktop -> desktop effects -> all effects" and uncheck the logout effect ("desaturate the desktop when displaying the logout dialog") it is only disabled for the current session. When I log out and back in (or restart the computer) the effect is back again even if it is disabled in the settings.
