Description Tenno Seremel 2010-05-19 21:34:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Well, as the subject says it would be good to have a configurable shortcut to close window group.

please specify whether you refer to a group of tabbed windows or the more technical meaning of windows belonging to the same group leader (netwm hint)

Umm... those tabs: http://omploader.org/vNGQ2dA

Don't quite sure how it is called but it appeared in KDE 4.4. There is a menu item in window menu for that "Close entire group" but there is no shortcut for it that I'm aware of.

Unfortunately the rework in decorations in KWin 5 resulted in the window tabbing feature to be lost. We still want to bring this feature back, but after several versions it still hasn't emerged yet. Given that I think it is time to adjust the status of this bug report. The new implementation would be different anyway and it's questionable whether this report would still apply to it.
