Description Thierry Chatelet 2010-05-19 02:26:33 UTC
Version: 0.5 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Since last update (17 May), when choosing samuraĆ® game and hard as difficulty, it randomly (about2 times out of five) uses 100% CPU and does not produce any game, even after 5 minutes of waiting. I tried to start the game in console, but it did not give me any errors. I did not try other game than Samourai, but if you need more information,I am ready to help to the maximum of my knowledge. And I confirm than the difficulty selector does not work as stated in an other bug report.

Does this still happen with KDE 4.9 or newer ? I can't reproduce it.
With a high level of difficulty, puzzle creation takes a lot of time (see bug 256807) and blocks the application for a long time. But that's 100% reproducable, not only 2 times out of five...

As of KDE SC 4.8 there has been a new puzzle generator that goes much faster and produces a true range of puzzle dificulties, not mainly easy ones. It is time I mopped up some of those very old bug reports.
