A patch for this.

I've attached a patch that fixes this but I've didn't committed it because I don't like the way it's written (it's too late today) so if somebody has a better idea on how to fix this step forward.

Also would this require a 3.98.1?

In debian the new version (3.98.1) is availible, and it works again
