Description Janet 2010-05-15 16:27:31 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-4.slh.1-sidux-686

When I start kontact the sidebar with the categories (overview, email, contacts...) is very narrow and has a horizontal scrollbar. It just has the width of small icons (22x22) I guess. Scrolling with the horizontal scrollbar is of no use because the sidebar is too narrow to display anything.

As soon as I drag the height of the kontact window one pixel (smaller or bigger) the sidebar reveals its content. I have to do this every time after I started kontact, it does not remember the size of the sidebar. Only in fullscreen mode it starts with visible icons in the sidebar.

I have this problem on a system with sidux and on a system with Kubuntu. The Kubuntu system is a fresh install with a fresh user whereas sidux is updated from KDE 4.3.x.

It has to do with an option in the QtCurve style which causes a scrollbar to appear inside of the navigation sidebar and causes the bar to shrink in width.
