Keyboard accelerators work fine on first login. However some stop working after having been logged in for a few days.

This has happened three times after upgrading to ubuntu 10.04, most recently a few minutes ago.

The following accelerators work:
Alt+F for Konqueror's file menu

The following accelerators have no effect
Ctrl+F1 for desktop switching
Alt+F4 for closing a window

Hmmmm - I just pressed Enter while entering that comment and the form submitted..... it thought I pressed Alt+Enter?......

Aha! Unplugging and reinserting the usb keyboard has brought everything back.
