1. Open Inkscape
2. Load file or don't load file
3. Save as
4. On select file type the desktop crashes to black screen although Inkscape continues to run. Closing Inkscape leaves a black screen with functioning cursor. It's clearly a desktop crash as the system still functions normally from the console.

The daisy plasmoid is not an official plasmoid. Please report that bug directly to the author of daisy.

Thenk you very much for you quick reply.

Although Inkscape was started from the desktop panel and not via daisy I 
will report the bug to the author of daisy.

I normally have Inkscape launch with the %F parameter but if I remove the parameter the desktop doesn't crash. The %F kde exec parameter allows the application to load multiple files. So this seems to me to be where the problem lies and indicates it's an Inkscape bug.

so this is clearly a daisy plasmoid issue. But you can report your findings to the daisy developer, but i don't know where you can find his email adress. probably on kde-look.org ?
